Intensives
What are EMDR Intensives
EMDR Intensives are a powerful way to create real breakthroughs in a shorter time. Instead of weekly one-hour sessions, you dedicate several hours or days to focused, uninterrupted healing. This immersive approach allows your brain to stay deeply engaged in the reprocessing work helping you move through layers of trauma, release long-held pain, and experience faster, lasting transformation.
How it Works
1
Step 1: Pre-Intensive Consultation
We begin with a focused interview to clarify your goals and current needs. Together, we explore your support systems, stressors, coping patterns, and where you’re seeking relief, growth, or change. This sets the stage for a clear, intentional healing experience.
2
Step 2: The Intensive Experience
Your EMDR Intensive is a deep, concentrated journey designed for breakthroughs. Across several hours or days, we focus on two things making the painful parts of life hurt less, and helping the good parts feel even better. Through EMDR reprocessing, guided meditation, art, or sand tray work, you’ll move through trauma and into lasting transformation.
3
Step 3: Integration & Reflection
After the intensive, we meet again to reflect on your progress and the insights that emerged. You’ll learn how to carry this growth into daily life, and how to share your breakthroughs with the people who support and celebrate you.
Why Do EMDR Intensives ?
EMDR Intensives are designed for those ready to create lasting breakthroughs helping you go deeper, heal faster, and finally move beyond what’s been holding you back. If you’re ready for real transformation, this experience may be right for you:
You’ve lived through painful or traumatic experiences that still affect your emotions, relationships, or sense of peace.
You’ve tried EMDR before and know how powerful and effective it can be for healing and well-being.
You’re preparing for a major life transition such as a wedding, parenthood, medical procedure, or career change and want to feel grounded and confident.
You’re already in therapy but feel stuck or on the edge of a breakthrough, ready to move forward in a meaningful way.
You’re ready to let go of old pain once and for all and finally live with clarity, strength, and calm.
EMDR Intensives Help
-
When trauma lingers for years, it can feel like nothing truly changes no matter how much work you do. EMDR Intensives allow you to stay with the healing process long enough for your brain to fully reprocess those core memories. The result is often a deep, lasting shift—relief that feels real instead of temporary.
-
Old emotional pain can quietly shape how you see yourself and others. In an Intensive, you have the time and space to work through layers of grief, shame, or fear that weekly sessions might only touch. Many clients experience a profound release, freeing them to finally feel safe, loved, and whole.
-
When anxiety feels like it controls you, it’s often rooted in unprocessed experiences. EMDR Intensives help calm the nervous system and rewire how your body responds to those triggers. This focused work can dramatically reduce panic and bring a grounded sense of peace back into daily life.
-
Cycles of guilt, perfectionism, or self-doubt often trace back to early pain or betrayal. During an Intensive, these patterns can be brought to the surface and resolved at their origin. Clients often describe emerging with clarity and self-compassion they hadn’t felt in years.
-
Big changes—like marriage, parenthood, or recovery from loss can stir old wounds and fears. An EMDR Intensive helps you clear emotional blocks so you can approach new beginnings from a place of confidence and calm. It’s a chance to shed what no longer serves you and move forward lighter, stronger, and more grounded.
-
The wounds of sexual abuse often live in both the body and mind—long after the event has passed. EMDR Intensives create a focused, compassionate space to release the shame, fear, and powerlessness that trauma can imprint. Many clients experience breakthroughs that restore safety, dignity, and the ability to feel at home in their own bodies again.
-
Experiences with medical trauma or ongoing illness can leave lasting anxiety, distrust, or fear around the body and care. Through extended EMDR sessions, the nervous system learns to separate past distress from present safety. Clients often find renewed confidence in their bodies and relief from the emotional exhaustion that chronic conditions can create.
-
When faith or spirituality has been used as a source of control or harm, it can shake your sense of self and meaning. EMDR Intensives allow deep reprocessing of those experiences, helping you release the fear, guilt, or betrayal tied to them. The result is often a reclaiming of personal truth, peace, and a relationship to spirituality that feels authentic and safe again.
